Gingerbread Espresso Martini

I’m not much of a regular martini drinker, but pour some espresso in there and you got yourself a happy girl.

INGREDIENTS for GINGERBREAD SYRUP

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (lightly packed)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup water
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

In a small pot, combine all the ingredients until dissolved over medium heat, stirring to ensure the sugar does not stick to the bottom of the pot. Allow to cool completely before using in a cocktail. Lasts in the fridge for about a month.

COCKTAIL ASSEMBLY

  • 1.5oz of vodka
  • 1 oz of gingerbread syrup
  • 1 oz brewed espresso
  • 1 oz of cream liquor, VODKOW, Baileys, any other Irish cream liquor
  • Ice

Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake until ice cold and frosty. Serve in a glass, with a gingerbread cookie on the side or a rimmed glass with gingerbread cookie crumbs!
