December 2020

Hey foodie friends,

November was a bit of a difficult month, I’m not going to lie. I don’t know if some of you agree with me, but if I really wanted to broaden the range and resonate with more of you, I think it’s also fair to say that it’s been a very difficult year.

This past month for me seemed to be one of the harder times to get past — a lot of it dealing with external factors such as work (especially), retreating back to a “modified” phase 2, and truthfully, confining myself to my apartment as much as possible to do my part in curbing the steadily rising wave of COVID cases.

We all adapted to the best of our ability, but many of us are still struggling with getting used to the sacrifices and curveballs that naturally had to happen for us to get to a stage that we now call our new everyday reality.

I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to feel vulnerable, it’s okay to feel anxious, and it’s definitely okay to be compassionate and understanding towards yourself and your mental health needs, even if everybody around you may seem to be coping better than you. So that’s exactly what I did… and to tell you the truth? It makes me even more excited to share my plans for the blog. This month, we’re getting bold.

Get ready for ….

Starting December 3rd, I’ll be posting a new recipe every odd day of the monthand sharing a mixture of classic recipes you can rely on, fun holiday drinks to keep the at-home party bumping, and of course some holiday baking to lift your spirits…and mine since it gives me an excuse to leave my KitchenAid on my counter shamelessly.

I’ve never done something like this before! It’s kind of overwhelming! Kind of scary! But if you push yourself to new limits, the possibilities are endless guys.

So stay tuned for the posts, get your bellies ready, and come say hi on Instagram (@littlegirl_bigeats) :’)

But as always, peace and good eats,
